Operations Manager

Department: Richmond, VA
Location: Richmond, VA

As one of the nation's premier wall and ceiling specialty contractors, Precision Walls, Inc. (PWI) offers you an opportunity to join our team. Make a difference and promote the progress of construction! We are seeking experienced Operations Manager! We seek supervisors of workforce that can preplan, organize, track and audit day to day field operations of workers and hours in commercial drywall systems on-site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for great customer relations
  • Manage the PM staff and the General Supt. through coaching

? Double checks and accountability based on their job descriptions

  • Schedule and attend all monthly Drive Meetings
  • Schedule, outline & facilitate weekly snapshot meetings (production meetings)
  • Attend Foremen Meetings and assist when necessary
  • Approve all sub pay applications weekly
  • Facilitate and outline pre-planning meetings for projects
  • Attend WIP Meetings with General Manager at close of month
  • Approve all field raises
  • Discover and implement new ways of running our projects to get better
  • Discover and implement new ways for our team to be successful in new product lines
  • Get involved in teaching and training staff
  • Ensure budgets are in line with the estimators margins and if not review with PM & Estimator
  • Assign all new projects to PMs
  • Assist in Supt. project assignments
  • Responsible to remove or help navigate through roadblocks for the team to be successful
  • Review walls up payouts
  • Responsible for our employee review process and goal setting for direct reports
  • Helping out in any way one could for the benefit of the branch and company
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Prior knowledge of construction techniques and scheduling of purchases
  • Specific Skills: Ability to work well under pressure, and must have skill in the use of computers and Microsoft Office
